The thought system taught in A Course In Miracles is not based on what one is thinking but how one is thinking. It is not based on its conceptual content, but on its release. The practice of releasing every thought awakens us to the memory of ourselves as One.

 

Through dependence on the miracle, we discover experientially the nature of enlightenment, the inevitability of healing and the immediacy of conscious contact with God.

 

Prayer is the medium of miracles. It is a means of communication of the created with the Creator. Through prayer love is received, and through miracles love is expressed.

 

Miracles are thoughts. Thoughts can represent the lower or bodily level of experience, or the higher or spiritual level of experience. One makes the physical, and the other creates the spiritual. To the Holy Spirit, the world is a place where you learn to forgive yourself what you think of as your sins. In this perception, the physical appearance of temptation becomes the spiritual recognition of salvation.
